To Dr. Elizabeth James and Flora MacDonald, of Moose Jaw (correction: more recently Regina), Saskatchewan, on the first ChP (Champion Producer) title for a TOKEN "mommy": on their Ch Token' NorthUist Step Aside CGC, CD, ROMX.
This is a "new" title being awarded by the Collie Club of Canada for dogs which have produced 8 or more Champion offspring. Eliz. and Flora finished nine champions out of 12 puppies produced in "Reba's" two litters.
They are:
Ch Token' NorthUist Step Aside CGC CD ROMX
(Am/Cdn Ch Carnwath's Beat It! Ex Ch Token' Secret Rendezvous)
and from her second litter, by Am Ch Tartanside Illumination

Temptation
"Reba" is the fourth ROM "Mommy" bred here at TOKEN.
and actually, Temptation is Ch NorthUist Token' Temptation.
"Laska" and she is now 12 years old, and one of my favourties from this family.
Again, I will follow with pictures.
CONGRATULATIONS!! Elizabeth and Flora, on a fabulous career that you gave to "Reba" and her children.
We are very proud of the work that you have done and are doing for this wonderful Breed of dog.
Thank you!

CH NORTH UIST TOKEN TEMPTATION
pic'd as a Junior Puppy
Reserve Winners two specilties in a row in Saskatchewan, pictured here with respected Judge: Dorothy Welsh.
Actually "Laska'" Mom started her career about the same way
Her entries were in before she got on the airplane from our house >>> and she went straight to the show and picked up nine points on a specialty weekend of four shows, as a Junior.
Do you think that they noticed her moving into Saskatchewan??
"Reba's" "mom", "Roxanne"
CH TOKEN' SECRET RENDEZVOUS
pictured five point Best of Winners as a ten month old. Roxanne finished her championship with three five point wins out of four entries. She was on the Top Dam List in Canada in 1995, and "Reba" was on the same list the following two years.
This is a Tradition of Excellence, and consistent producers and quality healthy typey and sound, this is what to expect from Token, and also a fine foundation and example for another quality producer: NorthUist.
NOTE: The difference between this ChP that is newly instigated, and the original Registry of Merit titles which Reba qualified for, as well as Roxanne's mother, granddam and gr. gr dam (Star, Rebel and Ritzi).....is the working titles. To gain the ROMX that Reba sports here, you need obedience and working titles as well as the conformation championships.
'REBA" really fit the bill for this kennel's foundation dam ..... and Thank You to NorthUist for the great job that was done with her offspring.
Flora with "Rory" finishing his Championship
NICE grooming job!!
(Nice dog!)
Ch NorthUist Token Temptation "Laska" at 12, "rounding up" the youngsters. Sired by Ch Tartanside Southland Brigade Ex Ch Highcroft "Allie" >>> (need to get her "stage name", but she's a dau. to AmCh Tartanside Allegiance ---- very nice little "family", Laska!!!) and she seems to be enjoying them!
CCA 2009 Continued. WOW!! Canadian dogs are looking pretty good down there. Taliesin Alfenloch Antarctic, US bred but Canadian owned, placed also in a puppy class. Another US bred and it looks like now Canadian owned dog placed second in the Open Sable and White Dogs, Tartanside Southland Brigade. "Briggs's" first puppy's will be debuting this year as well, these young dogs pictured here with Eliz's "Laska" are by him.
I see a Gemstone smooth going up in female puppies. I haven't found the catalogue for the smooths yet,: Gemstone Pennylane Fame and Fortune I will bet is a Canadian bred.
Sylvan Creston Windsong is fourth in tri open dogs. Huh!! I tho't that he was a sable, and now I find his ped on a collies on line ad., and it's fanciful windsong that i was thinking of. My kennel name is even way back in that one; but not on a dog that I bred.
so far in puppy judging and class dogs we have a few Canadians in "the ribbons". Go Canadians Go!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! to "Laska" on her 13th Birthday!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Also to the Canadian Collies, as I watch the CCA results here on Collies On Line; placing in the U>S> National. Windsong the Fire Within takes a fourth in his puppy class!!! Tamaron the Real Thing wins a third in the Smooth Stud Dog. Very nice so far, Canadian Collies.
CONGRATUALTIONS!!! Also to "Family". Our "colt's" breeder I see has a Southland junior puppy female and placed in her 6 - 9 months sable puppy female class. GREAT BIG CONGRATULATIONS !!! Richella.
Very sad news at NorthUist >>> the passing away of our sweet "Laska", last surviving dau. to "Reba". Also, .... within two weeks they lost four dogs, in fact, including one of the babies in the new litter by Am Ch Bowen Island. >>> Our Condolences, to "Laska" and the other NorthUist family, and to Elizabeth and Flora. Thank you for taking such good care of these dogs through out their Life and may you have success and happiness with your new homebred show prospects and very carefully planned breedings. This is one kennel to keep an eye on .... they are doing a fantastic job for Collies in this Country.
I missed one Canadian owned winner >>> Armitage Spiritwind Stolen Halo owned by Nanny Sirois of the Gaspe won her Open Blue Females Class. Congratulations!! Nanny.
Elizabeth brought that to my attention, and I'll bet that she even has some good ringside pics!!
Great Big Congratulations!!! to falcon's breeder Angela and Keith Harvey and his GramPaw, "Khan" ...... Wicani What's New Pussycat, on his second C.C. (challenge certificate) over 150 collies at London Collie this month (JUne 09) ..... and his son "Neon" Wicani Waltz of the NewMoon, gets the Reserve Best of Breed. Fantastic!!!
Congrats' to Eliz. of NorthUist on her first set of points on promising puppy "Kate", NorthUist Cotillion, at Kingston Shows, also in June 2009.
"Kate" is now at 8 Ch pt's, and Elizabeth is looking forward to starting your younger litter from her U>S> Import: "Sarah", from Camloch Kennels. Sarah is a Ch Tartanside Avante Garde dau., and "Kate's" Mom is from Ch Tartanside Allegiance, if I'm not mistaken.
Best Wishes to everyone, and safe travels over the summer.
